Born in Sri Lanka to teachers, we moved to Nigeria when I was six. On a summer trip abroad, my parents bought me a camera and I was at once fascinated by the art and science of the image.
I was mostly home schooled till we moved to Canada as a teenager and photography and computers just made sense. My teachers showed me how to use the darkroom and I helped them along with Photoshop.
I love working with people and light, I am at home in studio or on set with the right team. If it’s a portrait, it’s a conversation and the images reveal themselves. For commercial work, I like to think the images we make serve as a solution to a client’s problem.
