Born in Sri Lanka to teachers, we moved to Nigeria when I was six. On a summer trip abroad, my parents bought me a camera and I was at once fascinated by both the art and science of the image.
I was mostly home schooled till we moved to Canada. As a teenager in high school, photography and computers just made sense. My teachers and other mentors, showed me how to use the darkroom and I helped them along with the tech and Photoshop.
I love working with people and light, I am at home in studio or on set. As a fly on the wall for reportage and event coverage or a confidant in a conversation for editorial portraits.
For commercial work, I like to think the images we make serve as part of a solution to a problem.
